Whole-house and room-by-room renovation, from structural alterations through to flooring, panelling and the final joinery.
Renovation covers everything from taking a tired room back to bare walls to stripping a whole house and starting again inside it. We take on both. Common work includes removing internal walls to open up a ground floor, replacing rotten floor structures, reworking a staircase, and bringing insulation, wiring and heating up to a modern standard behind the plaster.
Older properties in this part of Scotland throw up surprises — solid walls, uneven floors, previous alterations that were never done properly. We open things up carefully and tell you what we have found before we price the next stage, rather than pressing on and presenting you with a bill afterwards.
The finishing is joinery-led: wide boards and engineered flooring, panelling and dado work, restored or replacement doors and ironmongery, new skirtings and architraves cut to suit the room rather than the merchant's stock lengths.
