Garden rooms

A garden room is a proper little building, not a shed with a radiator in it. We build ours on a solid insulated base, with a fully insulated timber frame, a warm roof, double-glazed sliding or bi-fold doors and finished internal linings — so it stays usable in a Galloway winter rather than three months of the year.

They get used as home offices, studios, hobby rooms, gyms and extra sitting rooms. We run power and lighting out to them, and heating where you want it, and we can bring in water and drainage if the room needs a sink or a shower.

We also build the space around it: composite or timber decking, steps, paths and planted edges, so the room sits in the garden properly instead of being dropped on the lawn.
